I'm feeling kind of Blah Today! : (

Last night, I went to bed perfectly fine. My youngest son had a weird rash spring up on him last night. It was a severe allergic reaction. The rash was red, tan, and blotchy looking. He and his friend got into some shampoo and shaving cream yesterday. I think he was allergic to the shaving cream. I gave him a 1/2 tps Benadryl and no rash this morning. I was so relieved. I woke up this morning with a cough. Where was that yesterday? I had a headache last night but thought it was my usual sinus headache. Nothing got rid of it except going to bed and sleeping it off. I decided to post an article today about cold and cough since I have one today. I just feel kind of blah.
Enjoy!

More Bathroom Crazieness!

Oh Shaving Cream, Oh Shaving Cream!!!

I decided to tell you guys my frustrating yet hilarious morning. This is a true story. I hope it makes you smile. Everyone needs a great laugh from time to time. I was having technical difficulties this morning. I woke up and my internet wouldn't pull up any pages at all. I called tech support at Clear Wire. Three hours later, we have my computer running better than it has in the one year and one month I have had it. Geek Squad told me over a week ago that one part of my motherboard was going out. My computer would probably quit working. So far, one week later all is well. I had to redo my settings on my memory. I'm working on deleting things my hubby and kids downloaded on this thing none of us even use. While I was on the phone with tech support, my toddler and his friend we were babysitting decided to go into the bathroom and squirt my shaving cream all over the sink and the floor. They laughed and laughed. I don't know what they thought they were doing. Of course, I had to admit it's kinda funny. At least, noone was hurt. I just cleaned it up with a laugh and grin.
What else can ya do?

Making your Time Work For You

Time Management Tips: 5 Tips for Making Time Work Better for you – Read Here to Find Out

Time Management Tips: 5 Tips for Making Time Work Better for you – Read Here to Find Out

Author: Wendy Hearn

In today's hectic world it is easy to lose track of things if you do not have some kind of time management strategy in place. So, here are some quick tips to help you to get the most out of the precious hours in your day.

1. You cannot manage your time - This may sound a strange way to begin a time management tips article, but it's true. You cannot manage time. You have so many hours in your day and you can not change that. You can, however, manage how effectively YOU can use this time and your energy. Using your time well is about managing you, not about managing time.

2. Be effective, not efficient - Learn to discern between effective use of your time and efficient use of time, the latter being the better of the two. Folding and sealing 200 letters in one hour is efficient use of your time. Buying a machine to do it in five minutes is effective use of your time.

3. Know what you want - How can you spend your time the way you would like to if you don't know what you want? Before embarking on any time management plan sit down and get a clear idea of exactly how you want to spend your time. This will give you something specific to work towards.

4. Get organized - Keep a time log to find out how you are really spending your time. Also, keep a daily time plan for each day so you know exactly what you want to achieve in each day, and work towards your longer-term goals.

5. Avoid time wasters - Time wasters are the arch-enemies of good time management. Worst of all, they are often so subtle that you won't even notice them. Common time wasters include television, clutter, meetings and interruptions at work.

We are Marshall Review

I stay a little behind the times on movies. It's mainly because I just don't have time to relax. Then, I fall asleep which gets absolutely frustrating. Most of the time, I am chasing kids and cleaning all the messes. My husband and I watched We are Marshall for our anniversary. It was based on a true story about a university in West Virginia. Their football team was coming back from California on an airplane which crashed and burned right outside of their hometown. It was a hard movie to watch at first. You really felt the pain that the ones left behind had to go through. The only survivors were ones who overslept or were injured. They had to deal with survivors guilt and come together, change rules, and save their football team. Matthew McCaughnhey's character, Jack Lengyel knew how to market and get people motivated. I really related to this story. It made me cry which is hard. I loved it. I suggest everyone to watch it and The Pursuit of Happyness.

My Mom Blunder of The Day

Do your kids do some pretty outlandish things? Mine do. It's been one of those days as a mother where one child wakes up mad at the world and the baby is doing okay. I cleaned most of the house today. I only have the kitchen floor to do tomorrow. I decided since the weather was so nice out today, I'd wipe down my Jeep Grande Cherokee. I had Hannah Montana playing, we were having fun doing a much needed chore. I had the key in to listen to the music. My little guy who will be two in April was pretending to drive. He started rolling down all of the windows I had just washed. So, as any good mom would do, I pushed the child safety lock on the windows. Uh-oh! I didn't know that my sweet little baby would lock the doors with him and the keys inside. He would not open the doors or the windows. I called our local Pop-A-Lock and told them what was going on. They said they'd be at my house in 15 minutes. I decided to calm down thinking that it would help him realize what he could do to help. It took my oldest son to go out and tell him the exact same thing. My youngest finally did open the door about 2 seconds before Pop-A-Lock arrived. They came even though I called and the call was cancelled. They wanted to make sure my son was okay. They were really nice. I felt so bad! I did have a good laugh though!!!

Depression

I did a show today on my personal journey with Major Depression and how it relates together. We were having some technical glitches. Still are, It's a Featured Segment on Blog Talk Radio. It was showing but no player. We had to connect to live help online. It was hard for me to talk about but I had so much fun. When we get it back up, listen to it! So, I'm going to find an article and give my opinion on it.

A person with peace of mind is a healthy and happy person. Peace of mind results from knowing that you are a good person. It also comes from knowing that you do not harm other people and you do not allow other people to harm you as well. People with peace of mind can sleep well at night and can see life at a better perspective. Depressed people are known to be mentally bothered people. There are many thoughts that crowd their mind; these thoughts can lead to depression when left unchecked.

Develop Positive thinking

Positive thinking is a healthy way of thinking. It is the same as being optimistic. A person that has the ability to think positively in every situation is far from depression. He has the ability to see the good side in every situation and set aside the negative thoughts. There are studies that proved the powers of the mind. They said that people can draw their own fate by simply thinking of them. You become what you think you will become. It means that if you think positively and do not allow troubles to get the best of you, you are far from the feeling of depression.

Maintain Good Health

Depression is being linked to poor health. This is not impossible since poor health can cause people to be sluggish, irritable and short tempered. These are among the characteristics that are inherent to depressed people. Depressed people are generally unhealthy people. Eat the right kind of food and maintain a good amount of sleep everyday. There are certain kinds of food that are known to fight depression.

Be Inspired

You can not possibly see an inspired person that suffers from depression. Being inspired is a state of mind. This is a state of mind that could not possibly co-exist with depression. When the person is inspired, it means that he is motivated to do good things. An inspired person is generally happy and occupied with good thoughts.
